Spray Aus was founded in 2014 by lovers of bronze, Emily McKay and Ellie Pearson, the product was sparked from the shared belief that life is simply better with colour. 365 days of the year.

A streaky, orange finish which dries out your skin – was not the answer. Joined by power duo Nadia Bartel and Bec Judd, the girls took their tans into their own hands.

They deliberated over different colours, textures and formulas, determined to find the perfect solution. Their vision was to develop a luxurious mist that would not only dry quickly and evenly on the skin. Spray Aus uses natural and organic ingredients.

Who Owns Spray Aus?

Spray Aus is owned by Emily McKay and Ellie Pearson, who founded the company in 2014. On the side of working their full-time office jobs, the two women achieved accidental Instagram fame after their best friend, Nadia Bartel (now a co-owner of Spray AUS), broadcast the news of Emily and Ellie’s mobile tanning on her social media feed. Emily and Ellie initially stepped into the world of cosmetics by signing up for a spray tanning course, with little other business intention than to tan themselves and their friends. 

Thrust into the world of spray tanning business by their unexpected Instagram fame; the girls found themselves receiving a ton of enquiries that prompted them to start their own tanning business to keep up with the demand. Can I Sleep in Spray AUS Tan?

It’s important to allow your spray tan a minimum of two hours to set. So sleeping in Spray Aus tan overnight is actually a brilliant way to achieve a rich bronze colour! For best results, apply the Spray Tan Aus Mist 3-5 times to clean skin, spraying in continuous, sweeping motions for an even tan. After waiting a minute for the product to dry, you can pop into bed and drop off to sleep before awakening to a gorgeous tan. 

How to Use Spray AUS Tan

Each Spray AUS product has its own unique set of directions you’ll typically find printed at the back of the bottle, which you must follow. This luxe mist is fast drying, applies evenly onto the skin, and delivers an optimal colour result. Complete with antioxidants and nutrients, our non-sticky formula soothes, strengthens and promotes healthy skin.

Spray Aus Professional is a natural, green-based formula with a DHA level of 10%.

This Spray Aus solution is intended for professional use only and must be applied by a trained spray technician using a HVLP or airbrush system. Shake well before each use.

For best results apply one, complete coat to clean, exfoliated skin. Leave on the skin for a minimum of 1.5 hours, and for a darker result, leave on the skin for up to 8 hours. Instant cosmetic bronzers will wash away during the first warm water rinse, and full DHA results develop within 18-24 hours.

Use approximately 40ml per tan. Results should last around 7 days.

DEEP DARK RAPID TAN

We know that life’s just better with colour. So we added more of it.

Our Deep Dark Rapid formula is made for those who want that increased bronze. We infuse our non-sticky formula with nourishing ingredients for a natural tan.

Through careful colour manipulation, it delivers an optimal result for all skin tones. This fine, luxe mist applies to skin evenly, develops rapidly and dries quickly delivering a deep, rich bronze finish.

Skin is left hydrated from the rich combination of natural fruits, plants, oils and extracts. Infusion of Aloe Vera, Coconut Oil and Kakadu Plum makes our formula nourishing and longer-lasting.

Our green-based bronze has a DHA level of 14%.

Exceeding the recommended time frame could result in the tan over processing.

A dark tan likes a dark place to live. Give our solution a home somewhere cool and dark, out of direct sunlight and below 20 degrees. Too much heat can compromise shelf life and the DHA. Don’t forget to pop the lid back on immediately after use.

For sensitive skin, a patch test is recommended 24 hours prior to a full body tan. If irritation occurs, do not use. This product is for external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. May contain minimal nut tracings. The dark formula may stain or discolour certain materials. It does not contain sunscreen or protect against UV rays.

For the smoothest, most consistent application, every time. Our Application Glove is reusable and made with a soft fluffy surface.

Slip your hand inside the Glove and dispense your preferred Spray Aus self-tan product to the surface. Apply product to the skin in smooth, circular motions, working in sections. Cover skin evenly and repeat for a darker finish. Avoid application around the eyes and use sparingly around areas that are prone to dryness.

Best to apply our Self Tan Mousse and Tan Extender.

Every now and again, give your glove a gentle wash with warm soapy water and rinse well. Allow to dry naturally – don’t dry clean, iron or bleach. Give it a home in a dry place.

EXFOLIATING MITT

The most natural way to prepare your skin for a long lasting quality tan. This multi-tasking mitt polishes skin for a, even tan application.

Buff away dead skin and remove tan residue. Improves skin tone and circulation. Use to prep each time for a longer-lasting all over bronze.

Shower to soften skin and rinse off any product. Dampen the mitt, and scrub skin with firm, circular motions. Increase pressure gradually to achieve desired effect. 

+ Use SCRUB side for an intense exfoliation and remove tan residue.

+ Use the PRIME side to gently buff for a smooth skin canvas.

It’s normal for skin to be slightly red after stimulation, this will go down after a little while. Do not use the mitt if you have irritated skin or open cuts. This mitt is machine washable, but allow to dry naturally. Don’t dry clean, iron or bleach. Give it a home in a dry place. For best results, every time, we recommend you change your mitt after 3 months use.
